On Sunday, May 21th, 2017 from 11:00-4:30pm, Tara Redwood School will host its Inaugural Annual Hike 4 Peace and Community Gathering at our beautiful Land of Medicine Buddha. The entire event is FREE and everyone is invited to join. This is a community event intended to bring the entire community together for positive action and interaction! We believe it is important, now more than ever, to create opportunities for people to come together in a positive way. We are all about promoting peace and compassion for all. We hope you will join us in creating a peaceful and powerful day.
Parking will be available on site near the meadow. Please car pool if you can.
Collect pledges and bring your family, bring your friends, and create community through joyful celebration and hike for peace! Walk, hike, or dance your way through the one mile long eight verses trail at the beautiful Land of Medicine Buddha. Each verse will be a ‘checkpoint’ where everyone can rest, reflect, talk and share. Children, families, and community can hike at their own pace.
We will have an open house for our young children & preschool age students that day as well.
Stop by between 11am-12:30pm and 2-4pm to see our classrooms and meet teachers.

A Brighter World Tie Dye
Jeremy has been tie dying since 1987 and used to make bandanas to sell across the country at Grateful Dead concerts.
You can choose your own design and Jeremy will help you dye it!.
Why tie-dye at this event? The rainbow colors represent the helpful qualities we focus on at Tara Redwood School. These colors symbolize peace, because when we practice these qualities we develop inner peace and so it follows that our actions will contribute to creating a more peaceful world.
Jeremy will take your tees and wash the excess dye out at his store. You can pick your shirts up from the Village Campus in Soquel on Tuesday afternoon!
Author and illustrator of her book on Gratitude, Jennifer will be selling her book and also offering a wonderful activity for the children to do.
Our fine local musicians and "Tara Dads",
Bill Shaw & Bob von Elgg will be playing acoustic
instruments for everyone's pleasure.
